ciao ragazzi è un bel po che nn mi faccio sentire
cmq un po continuo a rullare su boinc/seti@home .... un po di tempo fa mi sono iscritto a worldcommunitygrid.com e ci sono questi 2 progetti che girano con boinc:

Human Proteome Folding

ho anche fondato il team per ngi (NGI - WorldCommunityGrid) penso nn ci siano problemi giusto?

Io attualmente ho solo 4 pc che rullano e li sto dedicando tutti a Boinc.

Magari se slata fuori qualche altro pc ci faccio un pensierino!

sono rimasto l'unico che ha passato TUTTI i pc su Boinc?
non che fossero molti ma... si fa quel che si puo!

io adesso ho solo 5 pc che rullano e molto presto dovro' smantellarne un paio , i più potenti sigh!

Ci vorrebbe il programillo...e allora potrei spalmarlo su un sacco di client, ma a breve cambierò azienda e non avro' più i superpoteri che ho qui ...

Io senza il programmillo riesco a far girare BOINC come servizio, anche senza utenti loggati sul pc, senza che ci sia nessuna icona nella systray, solo che aprendo il task manager si vedono i due processi entrambi al 50% (e' un dual core...).
L'ho fatto sul pc di mio fratello che aveva il vizio di dare la colpa sempre al BOINC di qualsiasi cosa succedesse al PC, e lo chiudeva sempre.
Adesso gli ho detto che l'ho disinstallato, lui e' contento che non vede piu' l'icona in basso o nel menu avvio, e il PC rulla lo stesso!
E' troppo stupido per aprire il task-manager e accorgersene...

P.S: niente programmilli o trucchetti... e' un'opzione dell'installazione del BOINC.

You can set install options by clicking the "Advanced" button on the configuration screen. The options are:

* Program directory - where BOINC's program files will be stored.
* Data directory - where BOINC's data files will be stored.
* Use BOINC screensaver - Use the BOINC screensaver for the current user.
* Protected application execution - Run project applications under an unprivileged account. This provides increased protection against faulty applications, but it may cause graphics to not work with older applications.
* Allow all users on this computer to control BOINC - If selected (public mode), all users can control BOINC (attach/detach projects, etc.). If not selected (private mode), the only users who can control BOINC are: the installing user, members of the Administrator group, and members of the 'boinc_users' group. When other users run the BOINC Manager, they'll be shown a dialog saying to contact the administrator to add them to the 'boinc_users' group.

To run BOINC invisibly, choose the "Protected application execution" option, then delete the BOINC shortcut from the Start/Programs/BOINC and Start/Programs/Startup menus (locate BOINC in each menu, right-click, select Delete). You can still run the BOINC Manager by going to C:\Program Files\BOINC and double-clicking on boincmgr.exe
