We’ve only been making the game a short time, and it’s through the support of pre-orders and ‘extra payment initiatives’ (still being careful not to use the word that PayPal/Google hate so much) that we can continue adding all these features.
So in the interest of transparency, to make sure in advance people know what to expect. Here is a description of the demo. (Note we’ve left a few things out as surprises, but this is a vague overview)
One map cell to explore, a suburban area with shops, a diner and a few other locations.
A few crafting recipes.
A few weapons.
A few types of food.
A few bits of equipment and other useful items.
Combat system
Sight / sound system.
A couple of NPCs to interact with.
Survival needs, hunger, fatigue, stress etc.
A few ‘quests’
A tutorial of sorts.
Barricading and pushing furniture.
There is more to the demo than this, some stuff we ‘may’ get in there, some stuff is in there but we’d rather leave as a surprise. But to expect more than this from the first demo may lead to some disappointment, which will be a shame, because once the demo goes out we will continue work adding new features all the time, with regular updates adding big elements to the game.
