British Jewish groups say they are alarmed about revelations that a fraternal society for Muslim police officers published a policy paper that described Zionism as a form of anti-Muslim hatred and called the Israeli army a “Zionist terrorist group.”
The Board of Deputies of British Jews called the paper posted by the National Association of Muslim Police “disturbing” in its presentation of Jewish identity, history and the nature of antisemitism.
“If this is being circulated among officers, it poses a direct challenge to the integrity of policing and it should be withdrawn immediately,” the group said.
NAMP has distanced itself from the report and, in a statement, rejected any allegation that the group “supports Hamas.”
The 39-page paper titled “From Past Prejudices to Present Policies: Confronting anti-Muslim hatred and Promoting Human Rights,” was written by NAMP’s then-vice president, Khaldoun Kabbani, and published in July 2025. It says “Zionism represents one of the manifestations of anti-Muslim hatred”; likens the war in Gaza to the Holocaust; and disputes facts about the atrocities committed during the bloody Hamas-led massacres in Israel on October 7, 2023, including that the thousands of invading terrorists slaughtered Israeli children.
The Spectator, a right-wing British newspaper, drew attention to the report in a piece published on Friday that said the report illuminated “the disturbing truth about the National Association of Muslim Police.” The group has a formal affiliation with 16 of 43 police departments in the UK and says it represents more than 20,000 officers.

To discuss the roots and the state of the Germany-Israel relationship, German Ambassador Steffen Seibert joined the podcast, weeks before he wraps up his four-year tenure and returns to Berlin.
He rejects the idea that Germany’s approach to Israel is guided by “Holocaust guilt.” Instead, he says that the Shoah is a compass for Germany, which has the responsibility to learn the appropriate lessons from that dark period and let them guide its foreign policy.

Hungarian fighter jets were scrambled Thursday to intercept an Israeli passenger jet that failed to contact local air traffic control, according to Hebrew media reports.
The Arkia flight, which flew from Tel Aviv to Prague, triggered NATO’s highest level of alert after crossing into Hungarian airspace, reports say.
Two Gripen fighter jets were scrambled to make contact with the Israeli Airbus A321, the reports say.
After contact was made, the flight continued to its destination without incident.
Commenting on the reports, Arkia says “the incident is under internal investigation.”
“The flight crew acted in accordance with the approved flight plan and the pre-determined flight routes,” the low-cost Israeli airline added, saying: “We emphasize that at no point during the flight was there any danger to the plane, passengers, or crew.”

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has canceled his upcoming trip to the United States after he was required by the US embassy to give fingerprints as a condition for receiving a visa and was asked about his previous criminal convictions, multiple Israeli media outlets report.
The unusual move signaled that Washington was not going to give him a diplomatic visa, for which he is supposed to be eligible, as a government minister who holds a diplomatic passport.
Ben Gvir had reportedly planned to attend an associate’s wedding and to hold an unspecified diplomatic meeting.
Responding to Channel 13, which first reported the cancellation, Ben Gvir’s office claims that Ben Gvir decided to voluntarily give up the option of a diplomatic passport since most of his trip was planned to be personal.
The response fails to address why Ben Gvir has ended up not traveling at all, and falsely claims that all Israelis asking for a US visa are required to give their fingerprints. In fact, Israelis are eligible for a visa waiver under the ESTA program, provided they meet conditions that include not having a criminal record.
Additionally, Israeli journalist Chaim Levinson, who has an ongoing legal case against Ben Gvir, notes that the minister had asked the court to delay a scheduled hearing due to his US trip, presenting it as a visit with “diplomatic importance,” and not, as he later claimed, as a primarily personal visit.

Tuttavia, intanto in Europa:

EU foreign ministers have not reached a consensus to approve sanctions against far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, EU’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas says.
“Many member states have also proposed to sanction Minister Ben Gvir, but no consensus on that was reached,” she says.
Western governments expressed outrage after Ben Gvir posted a video of himself taunting activists who had intended to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza being pinned to the ground.
France decided to ban Ben Gvir from French territory in May, while Italian prosecutors have put him under investigation.
