Boin su debian da console

ciao raga, ho installato boinc ma voglio usarlo su un pc remoto che comando via ssh...
non ho trovato molte info perchè sembra sia inusuale il fatto di non voler usare per niente la parte grafica..
ho mandato un
boinccmd --create_account http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ miamail mionick miapwd

e poi
boinccmd --project_attach http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ mionome

e sembra essere partito...ma non ne sono molto convinto...
se faccio ps aux | grep boinc vedo che c'è boinc_client attivo
e se chiedo lo status via boinccmd non mi dice niente che mi faccia capire se è partito o no..
bastano questi 2 comandi? devo lasciare così senza far niente?

boinc_cmd --host localhost --project http://setiathome.berkeley.edu update
...e dalla pagina http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/hosts_user.php controllare se effettivamente l'ha fatto e lo stato delle wu...

EDIT: consiglio: per i nuovi client di solito copio il file account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml nella directory in cui girera' boinc...

penso che allora non ho configurato xkè questo comando ritorna senza scrivere niente

e anke qui le stats dicono tutte zero...

mmh cos'è che posso aver omesso?

...infatti non ritorna nulla... dice solo a boinc di connettersi allo scheduler...

cioè anke senza il campo username ...eppure l'autenticazione l'ho fatta..è che non voglio usare X, credo che si possa fare da console ma non ho trovato una guida..poi vabbè non mi sono messo lì a cercare cmq devo ancora trovare come si fa ora che ho un secondo di tempo in più..

...boh... mi sembra che si sia attaccato al setiathome ma non figura il tuo user_name... se fai un cat di account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml nella directory di lavoro di boinc ottieni qualcosa tipo (solo prime linee)?...

ho provato direttamente con la gui facendo partire boincmanager ma non mi fa fare niente, dice che è disconnesso e non c'è un tasto per inserire l'account o il progetto..forse devo installare qualche altro pacchetto?
lo so che sono un po' troppo generico ma credevo fosse più immediato, c'è qlcs che manca nella configurazione ma nn ho capito quale possa essere..

adesso boinccmd --get-state mi dà authentication failure -155 ... mah..

...hai settato una password per la configurazione?... lasciando vuoto gui_rpc_auth.cfg la cancelli (occorre riavviare boinc_client per renderla effettiva)... per abilitare il controllo da remoto usa l'opzione --allow_remote_gui_rpc...

forse ho capito cos'è il problema..
in pratica non sono connesso a nessun server...se faccio attach to project non mi fa niente...
insomma devo fare tutto da zero...solo che non funziona...forse un bug con debian??
l'ho scaricata via aptitude..

da console...solo che per esempio il menu attach to project a me non sta in avanzate...ma cmq non mi va lo stesso...

...bene... ^_^ ...ripeto il consiglio, per la prossima macchina copia semplicemente il file account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml nella directory di lavoro di boinc *prima* del primo avvio... si lamenterà solo che la macchina non ha un proprio id ma ne otterrà subito uno...

domanda..ma come potrei fare per schedulare l'avvio solo in alcuni giorni alla settimana e in alcune ore? con cron? o c'è un metodo diretto?

...con un servizio di cron puoi programmare orari di avvio e termine del servizio di boinc... altre maniere non so, mi ricordo di una regolazione dell'orario durante il quale elaborare neiprofili di computazione... ho dato una rapida occhiata ma non li ho visti, forse c'era anni fa o mi ricordo male...

Ho un problema, ieri è stata la prima volta che ho dovuto utilizzare BOINC con riga di comando, facendo boinccmd --get_state ottengo
