Per non parlare dell'istruzione. Su /r/latestagecapitalism ogni tanto vengono fuori storie sulle università americane che danno i brividi.
A parte le rette mostruose e le borse di studio per il football, c'è la storia del materiale di studio. I libri sono costosissimi, e non è possibile comprarli usati. Questo perché con il libro viene dato un account per il sito della Pearson sul quale sono presenti i "compiti a casa" per gli studenti, che guarda un po', sono condizione necessaria per passare l'esame. Lo stesso vale per il materiale del docente ovviamente, che si ritrova slides, libro di testo, midterm ed esami già pronti. Tanto vale chiamare direttamente la casa editrice a fare il corso.
