[Attacchi Solari inside] BattleTech



La notizia era uscita alcune settimane fa, il team responsabile dei vari Shadowrun, gli Harebrained, lavoreranno per portare sui nostri schermi videoludici un nuovo gioco basato sull'universo di Battletech, in collaborazione con il suo creatore.

In questi giorni è uscita una intervista ad uno dei dev, con diverse info interessanti:

They are looking into multiplayer as a Kickstarter goal. PvP arena on Solaris VII.
Not using the same engine as Shadowrun Hong Kong. Something completely new with Unity 5 - a "fully 3D title" ( I would have preferred UE4 from a fidelity standpoint, but Unity 5 is serviceable).
Where Shadowrun is an RPG with turn-based combat, Battletech is turn-based combat with RPG elements, so they're reversing the priorities.
With Battletech it is much more the story of the world and the great houses and a more macro-level narrative than Shadowrun's personal stories and exposition-heavy narrative.
Story will be leading up to the 4th Succession War
They are currently early in prototyping and gearing up for the Kickstarter
Right now they are only focusing on PC and most likely Mac and Linux
Target audience: Same thing like Shadowrun, they want to please the passionate fans and at the same time freshen the look of things in the world and getting back to the roots of Battletech with the feudal conflicts.
Mike McCain is a big fan of the Battletech franchise and one of his first PC games was MechWarrior 2. Along with Jordan Weisman (Battletech), and Mitch Gitelman (Mechcommander), the team is inspired for this title.
Verosimilmente, la campagna kickstarter dovremmo vederla in autunno, una volta terminati i lavori grossi su Hong Kong.

Interminabili pomeriggi di novembre col vocabolario di latino emarginato su un lato del tavolo e la mappa esagonale al centro.
Finí che usavo il vocabolario per tenere ferma la mappa conto improvvisi colpi di vento quando si giocava in veranda

La descrizione di come intendono strutturare la campagna lo fa quasi sembrare una sorta di Jagged Alliance 2 con i mech.
Non che ci creda davvero, ma se così fosse piangerei come un bambino.

Stanno facendo un'intervista ai dev in questo momento, probabilmente trovate dopo i vods

Robba succosa 4 mech + veicoli e forse fanteria da controllare per dare la sensazione che i Mech siano i re del campo di battaglia

edit2: sarà 3d, sia i modelli che il terreno in modo da poter modificare l'ambiente di combattimento
